This May, the high-energy world of ninja competition comes to Tyngsboro, and Nucar is thrilled to be front and center as the official sponsor of the 2025 World Ninja League (WNL) New England Tier 1 Regional Championships. From May 16th to May 18th, over 500 young athletes will gather at the Tyngsboro Sports Center to push their limits, support their teammates, and compete in one of the fastest-growing sports on the planet—ninja obstacle racing.

A Championship Weekend Full of Action

The New England Regionals are designed to deliver a championship-level experience in a single weekend. With smoke machines, confetti cannons, live announcing, and top-tier spectator seating, the event captures the same excitement you’d find at the WNL World Championships. Friday evening kicks off with elite and adult competitors, setting the stage for a weekend where kids, coaches, and communities rally together.

What is Ninja?

Inspired by obstacle course racing shows like American Ninja Warrior, ninja competitions challenge athletes to complete a series of unpredictable obstacles—testing grip strength, agility, balance, and problem-solving. What makes ninja unique is that competitors only get one attempt per obstacle, requiring both physical and mental focus. With divisions for athletes as young as six years old, the sport continues to grow rapidly, especially among youth.

Many of the participating athletes train at Action Athletics or other ninja gyms and open gym sessions across the region, where they develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment. Events like the WNL Regionals give these athletes a chance to shine and inspire others.
